Ingredients:
- Bread – 6 slices
- Eggs – 4 medium
- Milk – 50ml
- Butter – 20 grams
- Cinnamon Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
- Honey – 1 tablespoon
Recipe:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk along with milk and cinnamon powder.
- Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to the mix.
- Toast the slices of bread to a light crisp texture.
- Dip the bread into the egg mix and generously coat both sides.
- Add butter to a frying pan and toast the coated bread till it turns golden brown.
- Remove from the heat and let the toasts rest for a minute.
- Sprinkle some ground paper and drip honey on top of the toasts.
- Serve warm with a side of choice.
Extras:
- Use oil instead of butter for a healthier option.
- Add flavours to the egg mix by adding light spices of choice.
- Add a dollop of butter on top while serving to give a glossier finish.
- Honey can be replaced by maple syrup, chocolate sauce or any fruit compote.
